Last night The ASSITEJ International Award for Artisitic Excellence was awarded. Nominees included the United States’s very own Barry Kornhauser. Forums and fun!

The past few days of the congress have been a whirlwind of forums and fun!

Noel Jordan (Australia) discusses writing for young audiences with Angela Betzien (Australia) and Suzanne Osten (Sweden). Betzien, who is represented by two plays in the festival, encouraged playwrights to use humor, hope, danger, action, relevance, and truth in their work.

Slammin’!

We be slammin’!
International delegates met up this evening at the SWISH Bar in Adelaide to celebrate TYA playwrighting. Led by MC KPK (Kim Peter Kovac), the slam featured playwrights from the US, Zambia, Argentina, Canada, UK, Korea, Australia, and Denmark.
